Green (703)305-2257 The USDA/Food and Consumer Service plans to solicit quotes for the purchase of training for software products in the Microsoft Office Professional Suite as well as more advanced training in Word 7.0. The training provider must be a Microsoft Authorized Training Center and Microsoft Solutions Provider. More specifically, the requirement is the purchase of class passes or vouchers to be used by FCS Headquarters Staff located in Alexandria, Va. The number of students and training required is as follows: Intermediate Word 7.0, 360 students, Introduction to Excel for Windows 95, 160 students, and Introduction to Access for Windows 95, 130 students. It is required that the training be performed at a contractor provided facility within 20 miles of the FCS Headquarters office. Vouchers may be used for public classes in addition to dedicated classes on an as needed basis. Vouchers shall be valid for a minimum of 12 months after purchase by the government. It is intended that the simplified acquisition method of purchase be used. Interested parties shall submit a written request to the attention of Leonard J. Green, USDA/Food and Consumer Service, Contracts Management Branch, 3101 Park Center Drive, Rm. 914 Alexandria, VA 22302 to receive the Request for Quotation and statement of work. Requests must be received prior to May 20, 1997. Each request shall include three self addressed mailing labels. Telephone or faxed requests will not be accepted. The proposed acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns. It is anticipated that award be made prior to June 16, 1997; however this requirement is subject to the USDA required approvals for off-site meetings and conferences including training. (0122)
