Base MI, inicholson@mimtc.ang.af.mil. Provide all plant, labor,
materials, equipment and supervision with incidental services necessary
to complete the airfield pavement repairs at Selfridge ANG Base
Michigan. Work includes, but is not limited to: saw cutting and removal
of Portland cement concrete (PCC), both full and partial depth, prep
patch areas including any base material disturbed, deliver, poor float,
finish and cure PCC, gather and test PCC, gather and test PCC samples,
re-establish and seal joints and overcuts, clean out and reseal
existing joints, saw cut, mill and remove asphalt pavement, prep
asphalt surfaces, form butt joints and install non-woven fabric per
manufacturer's recommendations, deliver, lay and compact asphalt
paving, raise manholes to meet new grades, provide and lay top soil and
hydroseed, repaint disturbed lines and airfield markings, provide
clean-up and disposal of generated refuse and debris during the
execution of the project, as well as, final clean-up. The project is
broken down into four phases with phase II having firm start and end
dates which can not be deviated from. Phase II includes the milling of
existing asphalt paving three inches deep, fourteen feet wide and
approximately 6,100 feet long and the repaving of the milled area back
to the original grade. The phase can not start before 12 August 1997
and can not end after 22 August 1997 The other three phases have some
flexibility based on award date and the notice to proceed. Phase I
includes approximately 1100 SY of full depth PCC pavement replacement
and approximately 130 SY of partial depth PCC repair. Phase III
includes approximately 27,300 SY of 4" asphalt overlay. Phase IV
includes approximately 30 SY of partial depth PCC repair. The estimated
magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
Performance period is 120 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to
Proceed. This is an unrestricted solicitation and all responsible
