intends to purchase e 72 each Stainless Steel Customized Kennel Doors
manufactured by Lab Products Inc., or equivalent with the following
specifications. General: All wall angles shall be provided to install
the replacement kennel doors as require. All weld joints shall be leak
tight and glass beaded. All parts shall be free of sharp edges burrs
and cracks. All fastening hardware shall be 304 type stainless steel.
All door units hall have the same swing as existing door units, and all
door units shall be numbered the same as existing door units. Door:
Each door unit shall have a frame fabricated of 1 inch square 304 type
stainless steel tubing with a 16 gauge wall thickness. The upper 2/3
of the door shall be fabricated of 3/8 inch diameter 304 type stainless
steel vertical rods on 2 inch centers with at least three (3) 18 inch
by 1 inch 304 type stainless steel flat bar stock running horizontally
across the door unit for support. The lower 1/3 of the d oor shall be
fabricated of 14 gauge 304 type stainless steel sheet. Sheet shall be
continuously welded to the square tubing door frame and shall be
centered between the inner and outer edge of the door frame. Each door
unit shall have a two point gravity type latch with pad lock locking
capabilities. Each door unit shall also have at least two (2) stainless
steel hinges for mounting to the frame. Frame: Shall be fabricated of
11 gauge stainless steel angles. Angles shall be provided for both the
hinge side and latch side of door frame and mounted to existing kennel
walls. Site Visit: Interested parties are invited to inspect the
proposed site of the installation of Replacement Kennel Doors and
Frames located in building #28 at the NIH, Bethesda, Maryland 20892.
The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 3821, Size Standard
500 employees will be used for this requirement. Interested vendors
capable of furnishing the government with the equipment specified in
this synopsis should submit a Quotat ion, to the below address. The
quotation shall include the itemized price, the period of delivery,
prompt payment discount terms, taxpayer identification number (TIN),
Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the
equivalent product quoted identifying all of the specifications. The
quotation must reference "Request for Quotation (RFQ) number
#NHLBI-PS-SP-97-409. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days
from the publication date of this synopsis. All responsible sources
may s ubmit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered
by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National
Heart, Lung, and Blood, Institute, Contracts Operation Branch,
Procurement Section, Rockledge Building 2, Room 6143, 6701 Rockledge
