99 -- PICNIC TABLES/BENCHES SOL R1-12-97-024 DUE 052297 POC Contact Point, Contracting, Kathy Kuharski, 406-449-5201, ext 210 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. R1-12-97-024 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and this document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This procurement is 100 percent set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The SIC code for this procurement is 2599, Furniture and Fixtures, NEC. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The Helena National Forest has a requirement for 15 picnic tables with attached benches; and 7 separate benches which will be placed at campgrounds located in forested areas. The tables shall be a minimum of 8 feet long and meet ADA standards. Table tops shall be concrete or wood; table benches shall be laminated wood. The separate benches shall be a minimum 8 feet long and made of laminated wood with a steel base. Delivery and acceptance shall be made FOB Destination, freight charges included in the unit price. Delivery shall be made to Helena Ranger District, 2001 Poplar, Helena, MT by July 15, 1997; Clause 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial applies to this acquisition. There are no addenda to this clause. Clause 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items is applicable and the following evaluation criteria shall be used to evaluate offers: Price, past performance, technical capability of he item offered to meet the government requirement including aesthetic quality of the item allowing it to blend into a natural area; resistance to vandalism, and ease in installation by personnel without use of heavy equipment. Quoters shall submit product literature and pricing. Quoters shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. There are no addenda to this clause.
