Rose (703) 695-2554 The Defense Supply Service-Washington, on behalf of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Army for International Affairs, under authority of FAR 6.302, contemplates negotiation with one source, AB Technologies, Inc. Alexandria, VA for studies, analyses and support on strategies for employing Army International activities in support of the National Military Strategy. The principal objective of the contract shall be quick turn-around analytic and administrative support services to the office of Army International affairs and other elements of Headquarters, Department of the Army in examining the roles and alternative strategies for employing and managing Army International Affairs. Supporting tasks address a functional review of Army International Activities, recommended policy development, resource management, multinational force compatibility and operational concerns. Support also includes assisting the development of Army International Affairs policy and on politico-military (military-to-military programs) security assistance, Defense Cooperation in Armaments, foreign liaison and international commemorations program issues. All contractor personnel shall be required to possess/maintain a SECRET security clearance. This contract action is for services currently being performed under purchase order DASW01-97-M-1840. The period of performance shall be for 6 months, with two 3-month option periods. This notice of intent is not a Request for Proposals, though any capability statement received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered to determine whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. However, any determination not to compete this contract is within the Government's discretion.
