The International Boundary and Water Commission, United States and Mexico, United States Section, has a requirement for a firm-fixed price contract for three (3) vacuum assisted trash pumps and (2) self-priming water pumps with electric start. The trash pump shall be 6" centrifugal, self-priming, pump with fully automatic vacuum assist vacuum priming pump, with water-cooled diesel engine. Pump shall have a capacity of 1500 gallons per minute and shall be capable of producing a head of at least 100 feet at a speed of 1750 RPM. The pump must be capable of handling water and effluents containing sand and solids. The pump must be capable of passing up to 3" solids. The fully automatic dry-priming vacuum must be capable of handling large volumes of air and water in addition to intermittent flow conditions. The vacuum system shall be capable of removing 78 CFM at 1250 RPM at an atmosphere pressure of l4.7 PSI and an ambient temperature of 70 degrees F. Heavy duty construction designed for 24 hour a day operation. The pump shall be trailer mounted. The water pumps shall be 3" self-priming, engine driven, electric start. The pumps must be capable of pumping 310 gallons per minute with a total head of 30 feet. Engine size shall be a minimum of 8 HP. FOB El Paso, Texas. Estimated issuance date of RFP 97-122 is May 23, 1997 and responses are to be received by 4:00 PM MST on June 19, 1997. The delivery period is 30 days after award.
