BARIATTI (202) 782-1103 (Site Code DADA15) The Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to negotiate with Nicolet Instrument Corp. on a sole-source basis for a IRus Infrared Microscope system. As a minimum, the system must: 1) Possess a unibody design such that the infrared microscope & spectrometer are integrated into a single unit; 2) must demonstrate diffraction- limited performance at a 10 micron spot size; 3) system must possess an interactive mapping capability; 4) must have a 4- position nosepiece; 5) system must have an Attenuated Total Reflectance capability (ATR); and 6) system must possess a cooled high energy MCT detector with a spectral range of 11,700 to 650 cm-1 and be free from icing and remain cooled for at least 18 hours. Only new equipment is acceptable and only one contract award will be made for all items.
