99 -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR OIL/WATER SEPARATORS (OWS) TO PROCESS AN OILY WASTE STREAM DUE 052997 POC C. Joan Miles, Contracting Officer, (301)227-1159 The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) seeks sources within the industry for oil/water separators (OWS) to process an oily waste stream. The system shall have, as a minimum, the following characteristics: (1) ability to process an oily waste stream which varies between < 1 ppm oil-in-water to bulk-oil; (2) capable of processing at a flow rate between 1-10 gal/min (inclusive); and, (3) the oil removal efficiency between the influent oily waste and the treated-water effluent shall be 99% or greater. In addition, the flow rate capability, normal operating and maximum permissible pressures, physical size, total dry and wet weights, power consumption, additional utilities required (i.e. potable water, pressurized air, electric, etc.), and cost of the OWS must be provided. A summary of agents/contaminants which could potentially interfere with the operation and performance of the OWS is also required.
