(301)227-1159 The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division
(NSWCCD) seeks sources within the industry for oil/water separators
(OWS) to process an oily waste stream. The system shall have, as a
minimum, the following characteristics: (1) ability to process an oily
waste stream which varies between < 1 ppm oil-in-water to bulk-oil;
(2) capable of processing at a flow rate between 1-10 gal/min
(inclusive); and, (3) the oil removal efficiency between the influent
oily waste and the treated-water effluent shall be 99% or greater. In
addition, the flow rate capability, normal operating and maximum
permissible pressures, physical size, total dry and wet weights, power
consumption, additional utilities required (i.e. potable water,
pressurized air, electric, etc.), and cost of the OWS must be provided.
A summary of agents/contaminants which could potentially interfere with
the operation and performance of the OWS is also required. Responses to
this synopsis are requested within 21 days of publication. This
synopsis is for information purposes only to identify potential
suppliers. It does not constitute an RFP and does not obligate the
Government in any way to purchase any of the systems offered. Responses
