202-927-0423 U.S. Customs Service plans to acquire data entry and
related services in processing and inputing data from source documents
for Customs major systems. These requirements consist of data for
Customs major systems. These requirements consist of data entry, data
transcription and auxilliary services.. The Government will order data
entry, related computer support services and other related work and
information by means of delivery orders with specifically defined
scopes and schedules as needed. Data entry support encompasses
activities such as source document preparation and source document
tracking to data analysis from the processed source documents and key
inputing of those data into the automated system. The contractor shall
also perform data transcription services which involves data transfer
from one recording and storing system to another for processing.
Customs anticipates an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type
contract with firm fixed unit prices. The acquisition is 100% small
business set-aside with the option of having multiple awards. The
period of performance is from October 1, 1997 through Sept. 30, 1998
with 4 option years. The SIC code is 7374. Vendors having the ability
to satisfy these requirements are invited to submit a written request
to be placed on the bidders mailing list to receive RFP No. CS-97-024.
