The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is conducting a procurement to obtain telephone services, which will enable the BOP to provide inmates with direct-dial (debit) and collect calling privileges at BOP correctional institutions. This project is entitled the Inmate Telephone System II (ITS-II). The Government contemplates award of a 10 year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type agreement for the services specified. The first three years are the base period of the contract with seven one (1) year option periods following. The purpose of the ITS-II is to provide inmates in federal correctional facilities with outbound telephone services and to provide the BOP with the means to ensure the proper and lawful use of these services by inmates. The objective of this procurement is to have a contractor provide network based centralized database management system type services capable of providing a complete array of outbound calling services to the BOP for use by its inmates.
