AP -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT WITH UC-DAVIS. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole-source contract with the UC-Davis, Bodega Marine Laboratory (BML). BML has conducted previous research to reconcile sonic images with the reproductive state of the endangered Sacramento River winter run chinook salmon. This work has been successful in developing qualitative assessment procedures. Next step in research will be to develop quantitative procedures relative to the gonosomatic index of the fish. Sources responding to this notice must indicate qualifications/experience to develop ultrasound techniques, and to apply ultrasound techniques in the culture of other fish species. Term of contract will be for one year after date of award. WASC7-1287, closing date: 05/30/97. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000.
