The course consists of information on culvert design, improved inlets, calculating volumes and flows, hydrologic methods and equations, hydraulic computation procedures and equations, culvert design procedures, etc. The tasks for the NHI Course are: finalize the instructor's guide, prepare a master set of visual aids, prepare sets of instructional materials with visual aids for eight (8) instructors, including FHWA instructors, and fabricate eight (8) additional Energy Dissipator Models for the portable hydraulic flume used to present the "Culvert Design" Course. The contractor will also conduct two (2) presentations of the 4-day course at locations within the continental United States. This is a Simplified Acquisition. Anticipated award date is 05/27/97.
