Officer (401) 736-1761 Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment,
materials, supervision and transportation necessary to relocate
Plymouth Light, a historic, timber-framed structure, constructed circa
1842. It is octagonal shaped and apprx. 30 feet tall, and has an
attached 6'x10' entryway, which shall be considered part of the
lighthouse. The light sits atop an existing 11' tall mound of earth.
The light shall be relocated to a new site, approx. 150' northwest of
its present location. The new site preparation work consists of
constructing a new foundation, placing fill to create an approx. 11'
tall mound of earth, constructing a stairway, loaming and seeding, and
misc. related work. The work will require a contractor specialized in
moving historic structures. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis
of the evaluation factors: 1)price/cost; 2)past performance/quality;
3)technical approach. SIC Code is 1799. Size standard is $7 million.
Performance time is 120 days from NTP and no on-site work shall
commence prior to 9/1/97. Request for proposal packages will be

Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and
performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an
80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are
available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line
