The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is seeking sources and/or information on an air cooled water chiller for Mobile Maintenance Facilities (MMF). This outdoor, ambient air cooled water chiller will provide chilled water for a test bench with 339,000 BTU/hr heat rejection. The envelope dimensions of the chiller should not exceed 54" x 140" x 70" (LWH) nor weight exceed 2 tons. The chiller should be skid mounted for forklifting the unit. The test bench will accept chilled water from 60 degrees F to 65 degrees F and return water heated to 85 degrees F back to the chiller. Chilled water should be supplied to the test stand at a minimum of 40 psi and at flowrate not exceeding 35 gpm. Outdoor ambient air conditions range from 20 degrees to 110 degrees F with humidity varying from 0 to 95%. Available power is 460 VAC 60Hz, three phase. Chiller refrigerant shall be R-22 or non-ozone depleting (e.g. R-134a). If available, chiller systems can use either R-22 or a non-ozone depleting. Provide information on both systems. Provide vendor literature on the smallest and the lightest available chiller to meet above requirements. Include chiller(s) size, weight, operating and inrush amps, recommended refrigerant, location of access panels for maintenance and repair, and a photo or drawing of the chiller(s).
