43 -- 1500 GPM CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS SOL F40650-97-Q-0040 DUE 060697 POC Tony Clayborne, Contracting Officer, (615) 454-7841 This requirement is for five pumps to be Gorman-Rupp Model # T8A60-B or approved equal meeting the following salient characteristics: (A) Type: Horizontal shaft, single stage, self-priming centrifugal, for 80 psig working pressure, steel base, capable of being serviced withut disturbing piping connections; (B) Casing: Cast iron, with flanged suction and discharge, factory supplied casing heater; (C) Impeller: Ductile iron, two-vane, semi-open, non-clogging, entire rotating assembly removable without disturbing piping; (D) Shaft: Alloy steel with alloy steel shaft sleeve; (E) Seal: Oil lubricated mechanical seal, double-floating, self-aligning, access available without disturbing piping; (F) Drive: V-belt with guard, rated for outdoor use; (G) Performance: 1500 gallons per minute at 72 feet of water static pressure, able to handle solids up to 3 inches; (H) Motor: 50 HP, TEFC, 1750 RPM, 3/60/460 V, high efficiency type "E". The performance period will be 60 calendar days after contractor receipt of notification of contract award. Any responsible source may submit a bid which shall be considered.
