SOLE SOURCE -- The U.S. Marine Corps intends to award a sole source contract to Watkins-Johnson, of Savage, Maryland, for spare parts for the Manpack Tactical Intelligence System (MANTIS) subsystems in twelve (12) fielded AN/MLQ-36 Mobile Electronic Warfare Support Systems (MEWSS). Watkins-Johnson is the sole developer and manufacturer of the MANTIS, and possesses the proprietary data and drawings necessary for the performance of the effort described herein. No other source is believed to be capable of meeting the Marine Corps' requirement. No solicitation document exists.
