70 -- GENERAL-PURPOSE AUTOMATED DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT (INCLUDING FIRMWARE), SOFTWARE, SUPPLIES, AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT SOL 6TSA-97-DJH-0128 DUE 051297 POC Point of Contact -- Contact Delta Helm by fax (816)823-3322 The General Services Administration intends to issue a contract to Picturetel Corporation, McLean, VA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number 6TSA-97-DJH-0128. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-42. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A J&A for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement shall cover the following items: CLIN 1. Picturetel Model 4000E Video Teleconference Units with one year guarantee and standard accessory kits including remote control devices, 20 inch TV Monitors, cameras, microphones, and Groupshare and four rack mounting kits (must have H.320, SG3, SG4 and be fully useable via Picturetel Montage multi-switcher), part number CP1015, Qty. 8; CLIN 2. Picturetel Desktop Video Teleconferencing Units, with ISA Card mounting, RS449, N-1. Dual (Non-Dial), network interface, and liveshare plus app share. Must have H.320 and be fully usable on Picturetel montage multi-switcher, part number PCS100E-3, Qty. 4; CLIN 3. Document Cameras for plug in use with Picturetel 4000E VTC units. Must have automatic focus and white balance (iris). Must have super high resolution and high res lens with full zoom control (400 lines horizontal res), internal lighting systems, part number DOCCAM, Qty. 4. FOB Kaiserslautern, Germany. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within 3 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
