The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a full and open competitive basis which will be processed IAW FAR part 12, as a commercial items acquisition for the following types of gas in support of the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL over a 12 month period of performance:5,910 CF of technical grade Argon gas, 35,250 lbs of Chlorine, 20,000 CF Oxygen, 52,000 CF of Acetylene, 48,000 lbs of Carbon Dioxide and 12,000 CF of Nitrogen. All gases shall be delivered in cylinders. The period of performance for this contract will be from 1 Oct 97 through 30 Sept 98, and will have two one year option periods. It is expected that an IDIQ type contract will be the expectant result from this acquisition. The SIC code for this acquisition effort is 5169.
