Contracting Officer, (301)342-3753 The Naval Air Systems Command has a
requirement for services and materials to conduct a Component
Improvement (CIP) for the J52 and TF30 Series Aircraft Engines.
Services and Materials will be provided by United Technologies, Pratt
& Whitney, Government Engines and Space Propulsion, West Palm Beach,
Florida, the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the J52 and TF30
series engines, Pratt & Whitney is the only known source to possess
sufficient familiarity with design, logistic support, and manufacturing
data to perform this effort. The period of performance is a base year
and four option years. The anticipated start date is 1 January 1998.
This requirement will be classified under the Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code of 8731. The type of contract contemplated is
Cost Plus Fixed Fee. This requirement is planned as a Sole Source to
United Technologies, Pratt & Whitney. All requests for the solicitation
are to be in writing, no telephone requests. Address all requests for
