Provide fitness and wellness program, set goals and training for approximately 500 employees from 10 federal agencies, instruct employees in proper use of fitness equipment for maximum benefit and to prevent injury; plan and develop a cardio-vascular program for those employees who wish to reach 70% of their potential. Develop and enforce operating rules and guidelines for the fitness center. Coordinate the fitness program with Health Unit Medical Officer and Nurse-In-Charge in promoting other disease prevention and physical fitness programs sponsored by the Health Unit. The duty hours will be on-site,Monday through Friday for a total of thirty (30) hours a week. Duty hours shall be coordinated with the COTR in accordance with the needs of the fitness center clientele, but will not exceed eight (8) hours a day nor be less than four (4) hours per day. Professional liability insurance in the amount of $500,000 per occurrence is required. Applicants shall show proof of continuing certification in at leastone of the following recognized associations: Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA), Exercise Safety Association (ESA) or National Dance Training Association of America. Period of performance will be October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998, with two one-year option periods. Services are to be provided on-site at the National Climatic Data Center, Asheville, NC.
