The contractor shall execute Navy sponsored deep ocean search, research and recovery operations worldwide, design, develop and or modify plans, test procedures, feasibility studies, and plan schedules; procure and/or manufacture material and components; and provide onsite support necessary to accomplish various alterations, repairs and improvements in both dry environments and wet (underwater) environments to manned and unmanned, tethered and untethered Deep Submergence assets (including rescue systems and delivery systems), submarines and surface support vessels. Engineering and production work will be primarily in, but not limited to, the area of structural and mechanical hydraulic systems as and when ordered by written work assignments. The estimated man hours per year are 61000. Key personnel to include Project Manager, Senior Naval Architect, Senior Mechanical Engineer and Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer. The period of performance to be from 01 OCT 1997 through 30 SEP 1998. There are four additional option years which could extend performance through 30 SEP 2002.
