Wilma Mooney, Wilma.S.Mooney.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. This is a notice of
intent to issue a letter request for proposal on a noncompetitive basis
in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) -- "ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE
SOURCE," to H&H Consolidated Inc, PO BOX 755, Arab, AL 35016, for a
2-Month extension, June 1, 1997 through July 31, 1997, with two 1-month
options, through September 30, 1997, to NASA Contract NAS5-31066. An
extension of the current contract for a 2-month period, with two
1-month options, is required since a new follow-on contract will not be
in place by the expiration date of the contract. A large number of
proposals were received for the recompetition and the added effort
involved in evaluation has delayed the selection for the follow-on
contract. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The
required services are necessary for the continued operation,
maintenance, alteration, and modification of facilities and equipment
for NASA and its tenants at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops
Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA;and for the continued Wallops
Flight Facility on-site mission project support, as well as, remote
off-site mission support at locations throughout the world. Services
are required for the facilities operation and maintenance of all
GSFC/WFF facilities and equipment, including air
conditioning/refrigeration, ground water remediation, aviation fuel
farms, utility services, electrical distribution systems, central steam
generating, water and wastewater plants and connecting distribution
systems, independent boilers and furnaces, personnel and equipment
elevators and lifting devices, and obstruction lights. In addition,
services for non-routine minor construction of existing utility
systems, buildings, and equipment, related to WFF activities are
required. Without extension of the current contract, these services
cannot be accomplished without major disruption to the facility and its
programs. Any firms desiring consideration are requested to fully
identify their capabilities to provide these services within 15 days of
publication of this synopsis, in writing, to the GSFC/WFF and the
individual listed above. Collect calls not accepted. (0128) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0174 19970512\Z-0015.SOL)
