This is part II of a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Parts (i) though (iv) were published in part I. (vii) CIF Delivery and acceptance at Sheik and Pundi, 3/1 Banshall Street, Calcutta 70000, India, No later than July 15, l997. (viii) FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial applies to this acquisition. (ix) The evaluation procedure set forth in FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items." will be utilized. The provision, starting with the second sentence, reads as follows: "The following factors, in decreasing order of importance, shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability of the items offered to meet the Government requirement, price, past performance in providing similar quantities of similar goods to overseas locations. Technical and past performance factors, when combined, will be equal to price. Technical score shall be determined by examination of sample merchandise. All offerors must submit one sample of all items (components of kits) offered with their offers. All samples will be returned to offerors following examination. Past performance will be determined by checking with references provided by offerors. Each offeror must provide contacts -- name and fax or email numbers -- for customers for similar overseas transactions during the past two years." (x) All offerors must included with their offers a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. (xi) FAR clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. (xii) FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, with the addition of FAR clauses 52.303-6, 52.203-10, 52.219-8, 52.219-0, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37 and 52.247.64, is applicable to this solicitation. (xiii) The authorized geographic code for this procurement is 941. Only goods meeting the requirements of AIDAR 752.225-70 (FEB 1997) will be considered for award.
