This acquisition is for Repair Of Repairables (ROR) Logistical Support for CASS Equipment which the government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition of this support. The Government intends to procure this support under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Lockheed Martin Corporation as the sole manufacturer of the AN/USM-636(V) Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) to be supported, is the only know source with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary for the logistical support involved. Firms that recognize and support the CASS system are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
