Person, Contracting Officer The llth Contracting Squadron is conducting a sources sought for items used by forensic experts at the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Bolling AFB DC. Any sources responding to this synopsis must meet the following criteria: able to provide the following items: (a) Evidence markers; Mfr by EVI-PAQ, catalog number: IDT-0120, (b) Evidence markers; Mfr by: EVI-PAQ, catalog number: IDT-2140, (c) Evidence markers; Mfr by: EVI-PAQ, catalog number: IDF-D16, (d) Traxtone Kits; Mfr by EVI-PAQ, catalog number: TRXT-KIT. (a) Sexual Assault Kit; Mfr by TRI-TECH, NSN: 6640014239132, Reorder Number: RE-1MS/DOD. The above items will only be accepted from the mfr as stated. However, the following items will be considered on the open market. The contracting squardon intends to procure for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations 118 large crime scene kits and 55 small crime scene kits. Sources must construct a total of 118 large crime scene kits incorporating numerous items including the items listed above into a (crime scene kit, standard office kit, fingerprint kit, photographic kit and a casting and molding kit). Sources must also construct a total of 55 small crime scene kits incorporating numerous items including the items listed above into a (fingerprint kit, casting and molding kit and small crime scene kit) to be shipped to various AFOSI Det locations worldwide. The containers for which the crime scene supplies will be placed in needs to be made of a material similar to Rubbermaid or samsonite type cases, have a flip top with a handle with latches as a minimum. The crime scene supplies are to be arranged within the container in a manner which allows the user easy access to the supplies. The procurement listed here is being considered for 100% set-aside for small business (SB) concerns. Interested SB concerns should as early as possible but not later than COB 27 May 97, indicate interest in acquisition by providing to the contracting squadron above, evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with telephone numbers, points of contact, and contract numbers) and a positive statement of eligibility as a small business concern. If references and eligibility statements are not submitted for each separate solicitation, those SB concerns will not be considered in determining the set-aside.
