C -- A/E SERVICES FOR REPLACEMENT OF CENTRIFUGAL CHILLERS AND CENTRAL CHILLER PLANT EQUIPMENT AT THE VA MEDICAL CENTER,LINCOLN, NEBRASKA, AND THE VA MEDICAL CENTER, GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA SOL 597-18-97 DUE 060697 POC Leigh Porter, (402) 489-3802, Ext. 6803 Provide Architect/Engineer services to develop construction drawings and specifications required for Replacement of Centrifugal Chillers and Central Chiller Plant Equipment at the VA Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska, and the VA Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska. A/E firm shall design all site preparation required for the complete replacement of centrifugal chillers. Demolition shall include removal of existing equipment and required piping removal and demolition of concrete bases as required for installation of new equipment. The A/E firm will be required to conduct an evaluation to determine the best application considering air conditioning loads, energy consumption, available equipment, etc., and submit a recommendation as to which equipment would best suit the need. A firm-fixed price contract is to be awarded. All interested parties shall submit qualifications to the Contracting Officer in the form of Standard Forms 254 and 255. A/E firms shall include all relevant information regarding past projects designed which are similar to this project. All responses are to be received by the Contracting Officer, VA Medical Center, 600 South 70th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68510, no later than 4:30 P.M. on June 6, 1997. This is not a request for proposal. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Offerors must be within a 400 mile radius of Grand Island, Nebraska. (0129)
