The research conducted in the NCI Laboratory of Experimental and Computational Biology rely on the use of computer modeling software and there is a long history of use of the SAAM program in the work conducted in the laboratory. Due to the enormous changes in computer interfaces (Windows and WWW browsers) the SAMM and CONSAS programs require substantial redesigns of their interface for viability and ease of use within these new environments. Dr. Boston is a Professor of Biomathematics and Biostatistics and he is also the Director of Biomathematics at the University of Pennsylvania. Further, and most importantly, Dr. Boston has over 20 years of experience working on the SAAM/CONSAM software and in fact, he designed and implemented the original version of the interactive version. This is not a request for competitive proposals, as no solicitation will be issued. However, vendors who believe they can meet the Government requirement may submit their qualifications. The submission must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail so that a determination can be made regarding meeting the Governments requirements.
