T -- The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL), Ames, Iowa intends to acquire a subscription service to order subscriptions, monitor the subscriptions and manage control of approximately 200 publications. The publications include medical journals, magazines, reviews, international literature and other assorted publications. The subscriptions will be requested to run on a January to December schedule. Service for the Base Year is to begin October 1, 1997 and will continue through September 30, 1998. An option will be included to extend the contract period for an additional four (4) year period, if needed. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is to be released on or about June 2, 1997. Telephone requests will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. A limited number of the RFP will be issued for this procurement, with priority given to firms on our established bidders list. Firms which do not receive a copy of the RFP will receive a Solicitation Mailing List Applications, Standard Form 129. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will add your name to our bidders list for consideration for a one-year period after date of submission.
