W -- RADIO PROGRAMMING SOL MDA113-97-R0012 POC MSgt Langdon, (909)413-2231, FAX (909)413-2432 T-ASA March Contracting Office intends to negotiate a sole source contract with ABC under the authority of FAR 6.302 for radio programming for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service-Broadcast Center (AFRTS-BC), March Air Reserve Base CA. The contractor shall provide the government with a continuous programming service to meet AFRTS' urban contemporary and active/alternative rock music requirements in approximately 12 hour segments. The contractor shall utilize either live disc jockeys, or a system of automated disc jockey announcement inserts which identify songs, include information about the music, artists or events of the day, disc jock prep material, etc. The contractor shall provide "The Tom Joyner Morning Show", "The Doug Banks Show", and "The Z Rock 50" as part of this contract for the periord of this contract or as long as the contractor distributes the shows to its other customers. The Contractor shall provide programming only for which it has the requisite rights, licenses, and/or authority and indemnifies the government against claims in this regard. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0129)
