Identification of oligoribonucleotides that are acted upon by fungal
and plant ribsome inhibiting proteins. Work shall include kinetic
studies of the reaction between the identified oligmers and the
hydrolytic enzymes. Ribsome inhibiting proteins shall include those
from A. giganteus ans A. restrictus and those from the seeds of R.
communis and A. precatorius. Four fungal genera shall be screened for
the presence of types I and II ribsome inhibiting proteins. The
screening protocol shall include the action on ribsomes and rRNA
cleavage activity. See also numbered Note 22. (0133) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0006 19970515\A-0006.SOL)
