is a modification of previous notice W-133 SN072318. The U.S. Army
CBDCOM intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with the
University of British Columbia, Department of Microbiology and
Immunology, 6174 University Blvd., V6T1Z Vancouver, BC, V6T 1Z3,
Canada, for contractor effort to identify oligoribonucleotides that are
acted upon by fungal and plant ribsome inhibiting proteins. Work shall
include kinetic studies of the reaction between the identified
oligmers and the hydrolytic enzymes. Ribsome inhibiting proteins shall
include those from A. giganteus and A. restrictus and those from the
seeds of R. communis and A. precatorius. Four fungal genera shall be
screened for the presence of types I and II ribsome inhibiting
proteins. The screening protocol shall include the action on ribsomes
