263-0227-C-00-4016-00: INFORMATIONAL CBD REGARDING A NON- COMPETITIVE

011-20-2-356-2932. This is a Notice of Intent to modify Contract No.
263-0227-C- 4016-00 with Pathfinder International for one year of
additional level of effort. This procurement is for the provision of
technical, management, procurement and participant training- related
services under USAID/Egypt's Family Planning/Population III Project for
which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one
source under the authority of AIDAR 706.302-70 and 40 USC 474. The
purpose of this extension is to continue project activities for one
additional year to avoid substantial duplication of costs and the
possibility of unacceptable project delays while a new follow on
project is being designed under which a new contract will be competed
using full and open competition. There will be no solicitation
documents issued for this proposed action. Interested persons may
identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or
submit proposals. This Notice of Intent is not a request for
competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty
days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by
the government. A determination by the government not to compete this
proposed contract extension based upon responses to this notice is
solely within the discretion of the government. Information received
will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining
whether to conduct a competitive procurement. "This CBD notice can be
