Ramos, Contracting Officer Eglin AFB, FL has a requirement to Replace HVAC in Building 252, Eglin AFB FL. PRESOLICATION NOTICE has been issued. Bid opening date of 26 June 1997 is only an estimated date. The performance period is 180 calendar days. In general, the work will consist of removing the existing air handling units and boiler. The removal will require removal of ductwork and piping which contains asbestos. The new phased work includes on VAV air handling systems with new air cooled chiller boiler, pumps, piping and ductwork. In addition, three new back-ups DX systems shall be installed such that Building 252 can remain operational during construction. The work includes new ceilings for the area of new ductwork and patching required for renovation type project. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid that shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business. Solicitation packages are available at a $20.00 charge. All requests must be submitted in writing.
