The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a Competitive basis Sound Deadening Board. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation number is N68936-97-Q-1835 and is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. This is a small purchase, small business set-aside, the SIC Code is 5033, Size Standard is 100. Following are the specifications for each Item: Item Number 0001, 11,520 Sheets -- Sound Deadening Board, Insulating Board (Cellulosic Fiber) 4ft X 12ft X .5 inches thick in accordance with ASTMC 208-72 (Reapproved 1982, no date) and D2277-87 (Approved 2/27/87). Both faces uncoated; edges square cut. The Sound Deadening Board must be composed of wood fiber cellulose products, not sugar cane cellulose products. To be delivered stacked and banded very tightly with 6 each, high tensile steel bands 1-1/8" X .031", in bundles of 96 sheets each, on side loaded flatbeds. NO DUNNAGE BETWEEN STRAPPING AND SOUND DEADENING BOARDS. Material Safety Data Sheets and specification information required with quotes. Delivery is required on or before 02 Aug 97 to NAWS China Lake, CA, FOB Destination.
