Baker, (503) 231-6188 The US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) in
Portland, Oregon, requires a flood systems analysis of the state of
Oregon with a detailed analysis of flooding in the Tillamook Bay
system, including areas flooded, damages sustained, and effects on fish
habitat conditions. There are 10 project objectives in this study and
7 tasks to be accomplished. Evaluation criteria are 1) Experience with
maps and CIS in conducting analyses and interpreting results 2)
Knowledge of watershed processes 3) Understanding of systems approach
to flood issues and relationship between natural resource floodplain
values and reducing flood impacts 4) Ability to integrate information
at varying scales and having varying levels of detail 5) Familiarity
with pilot study area (Tillamook Bay basin) or with ecolo gically
similar area 6) Excellent writing and oral communication skills 7)
Ability to complete project in scheduled time of one year 8) Price
