Box 245140, Tucson, Arizona 85724-5140 for the continued development of an Hispanic and Native American Model Partnership for Health Professions Education (PHPE) program. The major focus of this procurement will be to formulate and establish academic-community educational partnerships in an effort to increase the numbers of minority and disadvantaged health and allied health professionals who provide services to the under served populations and minority faculty serving the health professions schools. The development of an Hispanic and Native American-focused, comprehensive PHPE model in the state of Arizona will address the unique training, educational, linguistic and cultural needs of an Hispanic-Native American disadvantaged student target population and provide guidelines for future design, implementation and evaluation of PHPE projects with similar populations in other regions of the U.S. The University of Arizona Health Sciences Center is the only state-funded programs for training physicians and pharmacists and the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services as set forth in 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1).
