This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only Raytheon E-Systems, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, based on their unique FAA-issued Supplemental Type Certification and their being an FAA-Designated Alteration Station. Mainten-ance and activation of 44 Aeromedical Evacuation Shipsets which convert commercial 767 aircraft into operational evacuation mode, includes Federal Aviation Administration supplemental type certification changes/modifications, periodic maintenance and inspections, and logistics support. All maintenance actions must be performed by an FAA-certified mechanics and in accordance with the Supplemental Type Certification issued by the FAA. Contractor must hold an FAA Designated Alteration Station and employ FAA-certified airframe and powerplant mechanics. The contract term will be for a base period of one year with four year options. A Task Order type contract, with Firm-Fixed-Price and Cost Reimburseable CLINS is anticipated.
