L -- F/A-18 SWISS AND FINNISH ELECTRONIC WARFARE HOT MOCK UP SUPPORT POC Contact, Julianne Taylor, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-97-G-0051 with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Corporation for the supplies and services necessary to provide engineering and maintenance support for the Swiss and Finnish F/A-18 Electronic Warfare Hot Mock Up. McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Corporation is the sole designer and developer of the EW-HMU system, and as such, is the only source with the technical expertise and data required to meet the Government's needs in the required time frame. The statutory authority for these procurements is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. See note No. 22 -- NAVAIR Synopsis No. 20089-97. (0134)
