V -- TAXI SERVICE SOL CC-97-11 POC John Friedhoff, Contract Specialist, 301 496/3704. The contractor shall provide (24) twenty-four hour taxicab service for the NIH Clinical Center, Building 10, Bethesda MD, and the NCI (National Cancer Institute), Medicine Branch program at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD. This service shall be provided (7) days a week, including all Federal holidays. The service shall also include handicap accessible vans primarily between 6:00 p.m. and midnight with a pick-up time within 40 minutes. The normal taxicab pickup of patients shall be within 20 minutes after the Government dispatcher requests service. Transporation of equipment, specimens, medications, etc. shall also be provided on an as needed basis. Passengers will be transported within the Washington D.C. commercial zone as defined by ICC report # III MCC 400, and will include local and international airports. The period of performance will be from Feb 1, 1998 through January 31, 1999 with (4) additional (1) one year option periods. Est. of 700 calls per year. See Numbered Note(s): 1. (0134)
