West, 907/753-2551/Contracting Officer, Corps of Engineers Under the authority of FAR 6.302, the Alaska District Corps of Engineers intends to use a proprietary specification for an "ITT Barton" Brand automatic tank gauging system for the Hydrant Fuel System, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. All of the Defense Fuel Supply Center bulk storage tanks in Alaska currently use the ITT Barton system so that fuel supply data can be transmitted via telecom lines to the central computer system. The system must interface with the system already in place. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in the form of a letter. This notice of intend is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all submittals received will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the system requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
