Proposals are solicitated for Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery type contracts for restoration of a estimated 500 housing units in Cook County, Illinois. Up to five contracts will be awarded in amounts not to exceed five (5) million dollars each. Individual delivery orders shall be issued for the renovation of housing units as the requirements become available from EPA decontamination teams. A Payment & Performance Bond will be required in the amount of $250,000. The duration of the contract will be approximately forty (40) weeks. Work consists of installation of drywall, wall tile and other wall and ceiling finishes; carpeting or other flooring; and installation of doors, wood trim and kitchen cabinets that were demolished as the result of removal of contaminated surfaces. Painting, staining, varnish and other surface finishes will be required. Work will also include limited electrical, plumbing and other associated tasks. Selection of the contractors will be made, as a minimum, on the basis of past experience, ability to perform and pricing.
