The work consist of removing an incinerator, two 50 horsepower oil fired steam boilers, flues, feedwater system, steam and condensate piping, and other related appurtenances. Provide a new steam generating and distribution system consisting of two 50 horsepower oil fired steam boilers, flues, feedwater system, steam and condensate piping and related appurtenances. Provide boiler controls and related electrical work. Minor carpentry and finish work will be required to construct pipe chases. Some asbestos and lead paint removal will be required. Tentative issue date of solicitation is 11 June 1997. Bid opening date of 29 July 1997 is approximate. The estimated cost range for this project is between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00. SIC Code is 1711. The related small business standard is $7,000,000.00. Period of performance is 290 calendar days. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. This procurement solicitation will be issued as fulland open competition (unrestricted). This is not set aside for small business concerns.
