labor, materials, equipment and services in performing all operations
connected with repairing hangar doors, building 728 and 729, which
includes but not limited to: Repair hangar doors building 729. Existing
doors are 180'-10" x 30'- 8 3/4" 8 leaf biparting motor operating
sliding doors with a 2 leaf aperture door system. Wheel replacement,
main panels (or leafs): replace all existing bottom wheels, bearings,
and axles with new wheels, bearings and axles, entire motor operator,
clutch release, jack shaft, and hand brake assembly must be demolished
replacing with a new, engineered operator system that drives both
wheels on each lead panel. Replace the top roller head along with their
vertical rollers and permanently lubricated bearings, and the
telescoping tubes. All weather stripping around the perimeter of the
door leaves and the aperture panels shall be replaced to provide a
proper weather-tight door system. Replace existing inflatable aperture
cushions, hoses, and inflator fans. Replace the entire electrical
control system, conduit and wiring. Repair hangar doors on building
728: Existing doors ar 150' -10" wide and 22' 3/8" high 12 leaf
bi-parting manually operating sliding doors with a 2 leaf aperture door
system. All weather-stripping around the perimeter of the door leaves
and the aperture panels shall be replaced to provide a proper
weather-tight door system. Remove and replace existing stop brackets,
aperture inflatable cushions, hoses and inflater fans. Period of
performance is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed is issued.
Solicitation issue date will be on or after 18 Jun 97. The applicable
SIC code and size standard for this acquisition are 1541/$17m. The
estimated range of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The
solicitation is unrestricted. Requests for the solicitation must be
mailed to Tennessee Air National Guard, 118 LS/LGC, 240 Knapp Blvd,
Nashville, TN 37217-2538 to include telephone number, nine-digit zip
code, and (1) statewhether the organization is a small or large
business based on the size standard above, and (2) indicate if a small
disadvantaged or woman-owned business. Phone calls will not be
accepted. A $25 nonrefundable fee is required for each copy of the
solicitation. Only business/certified/cashier checks or money orders
will be accepted and must be payable to: U.S. Treasury. All responsible
sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Tennessee Air
