This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with for format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Th solicitation number for this Request for Quote is N00244-97-Q-8695. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 45. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis, under Standard Industrial Classification Code 3827 with a small business standard of 500 employees. FISC San Diego has a requirement for a 3 Dimensional Laser Interferometer Tracker. Computer Controllable. Maximum target tracking speed for servo motors shall be greater than 4 meters per sec at right angles to the beam and greater than 6 meters per sec in the beam direction. Minimum static accuracy shall be 10 micro meter per meter. Maximum servo motor acceleration shall be greater the 2g in all directions. Range of measurement shall be +/- 240 deg. horizontal from home position, +/- 45 deg. vertical, 0-35 meters in distance. Single visible laser beam (650nm, 0.3mW continuous wave, Class II protection). Maximum beam diameter shall be 5mm. Laser must contain internal laser thermal temperature regulation. Minimum working temperature range 5 deg. C to 35 deg. C. Total package to be one man lift capable. Local (in Southern California) technical and service support available. Required Delivery Date August 5, 1997.
