The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) plans to award a contract for 20 SanDisk Part Number SDP381-85-101, Memory, Flash, 85MB, PCMCIA-ATA, on a "brand name mandatory" basis. Delivery will be F.O.B. Destination, 30 days after contract award date. The part requirements/salient characteristics are: (1) Must include the physical case outline and functional interface compliant to the requirements of the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) Type II Sta ndard, (2) Capacity 85 MBytes, (3) Input Voltage 3 or 5 VDC, (4) Provides "Erase without Write" capability, (5) Provides "Write without Erase" capability, (6) Supports "Memory" (vice I/O) operation, (7) Average Write data rate 400 Kbytes per second (minimum), and (8) Operating temperatures from -10C to 60C. The Government plans to solicit quotations via written RFQ N66604-97-Q-4015 and to award a contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures on or before 20 June 1997. Quotations will be due in the of fice by 10 June 1997. Other than Full and Open Procedures is being used because the required SanDisk part number is needed to maintain compatibility with current systems in place.
