Austin, 719-333-6224 17. Uniforms consist of men's coats and trousers;
women's coats, skirts and slacks. Garments shall be manufactured from
55/45 polyester/wool serge material, USAF Shade 1620. All material
shall be furnished by the contractor. Each uniform shall be
manufactured in accordance with military specifications and Human
Systems Center (HSC) purchase descriptions as follows: Men's coats --
HSC PD YAGC 93-3; Women's coats -- HSC PD YAGC 93-4; Men's trousers --
HSC PD 85-1B; Women's skirts -- HSC PD YAGC 93-5; Women's slacks --
MIL-S-83482B. The resultant contractor must be certified for each
applicable garment, at the time of proposal submittal, by the
Department of the Air Force, Human Systems Center (AFMC), Air Force
Clothing Division, 2255 Monahan Way, Attn: HSC/YAG, Wright-Patterson
AFB OH 45433-7009. Interested contractors not certified may obtain
information for certification approval from HSC, Ms Gina Rice (937)
255-6073. Only proposals with current certification numbers for each
garment will be accepted. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed
price requirements contract with a basic period Date of and 3 one year
options. Estimated yearly quantities are: Coat, men's -- 820 ea; Coat,
woman's -- 120 ea; Skirt -- 120 ea; Slacks -- 120 pr; Trousers -- 1640
pr. Exact quantities and sizes will be provided no later than 1 Dec of
each year by delivery order. First articles of each garment shall be
required within 30 days after contract award. Qualified fitters shall
be required at the USAF Academy to measure cadets during late Oct --
early Nov of each year. The resultant contractor shall provide try-on
garments of various sizes to the USAF Academy during the measuring
process. These try-on will not be considered a part of the Government
order and will remain the property of the contractor. Inspections
during the manufacturing and packaging process shall be performed at
the contractor's place of manufacture by the cognizant Defense Contract
Administrative Services (DCAS) Region. Final acceptance will be at the
USAF Academy. Delivery shall be FOB destination, USAF Academy CO not
later than 15 Mar of each year beginning in 1998. Request for Proposal
