required to conduct economic and related applied research studies
across the array of employee benefits issues and topics framed by ERISA
and the policy interests of the DOL and its Pension and Welfare
Benefits Administration. All work will be performed under task orders.
The period of performance will be one year, and the Government will
have the right to extend the period of performance for four additional
one-year periods. Offerors must submit written requests for the
solicitation, and those requests must reference the solicitation number
(RFP L/A 97-31). Requests may be faxed to (202) 219-6853. Please do not
send a duplicate request through the mail. The Government will consider
requests from all responsible vendors. The Government anticipates
making a maximum of six awards. The second, fourth, and (if awarded)
sixth contracts will be set aside to qualified small businesses. The
SIC code for the work is 8732 and the small business size standard is
