Washington, D.C. 20534, (202) 514-5688. Comments may also be sent via
the Internet to wwillingham@gwmail.bop.gov or
rhthompson@gwmail.bop.gov. The following is a Request for Comment
(RFC), a synopsis of information for planning purposes, and does not
constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Federal Bureau of Prisons
will revise the 1992 Statement of Work (SOW) for residential Community
Corrections Center services this fiscal year. To effectively proceed
with this effort, industry comment is solicited on this initiative. The
purpose of this RFC is to afford industry an opportunity to discuss any
perceived issues regarding the initiative and to allow the Government
an opportunity to receive the benefit of industry comment. The
Government's purpose in providing this opportunity for industry comment
is to identify potential problem areas and provide recommendations to
enhance the success of the proposed initiative. The Government believes
industry feedback is important, and is receptive to any and all ideas
which would limit unnecessary constraining requirements, realize a cost
savings, or highlight potential technical problem areas associated with
initiative (SOW revision). Comments provided should be viewed as an
opportunity to improve the current 1992 SOW for residential Community
Corrections Center services. Comments, supportive or critical, are
earnestly solicited, however, are not mandatory. Comments received from
industry may or may not be used to revise the current SOW and resulting
solicitation documents. Replies will be separate from, and have no
bearing on, subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to
any resulting, formal RFP. The Government will not critique a potential
offeror's comments and the RFC should not be used by an offeror to
market their products. The Government does not intend to pay for the
information solicited and will not recognize any costs associated with
submission of the RFC. Responses to this RFC must be submiited to
either POC, in writing, at the above address or by Internet no later
than Friday, May 30, 1997. Telephone responses will not be accepted. No
collect calls will be accepted. No telephone calls for solicitations
will be accepted. Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0536 19970519\SP-0006.MSC)
