TRANSPORTATION OF MOBILE DIESEL GENERATOR SETS, SUBSTATIONS & A STEAM

Harouch, 805-982-5054 The Department of the Navy is seeking to identify
qualified sources capable of leasing the following mobile generator
sets, substations, and steam plant, which may be used in Routine or
Emergency Navy missions, in or outside the Continental United States:
LoNox Mobile Diesel Generator Sets with the following ratings:750 kW,
4.16 kV output, self-contained "utility grade"; 1,500 kW, 4.16 kV
output, self-contained "utility grade"; 2,500 kW, 4.16 kV output,
self-contained "utility grade"; and Mobile Substations (outdoor use)
with the following ratings: 1,500 kVA voltages: 13,200/11,500 pri.,
4,160 inter., 480 sec.; 2,500 kVA, voltages: 13,200/11,500 pri., 4,160
inter., 480 sec.; 5,000 kVA, voltages: 13,200/11,500 pri., 4,160 sec.
(Note: All substations must have primary/intermediate load disconnect
means and secondary feeder circuit breakers with adjustable range time
and instantaneous over-current trip devices.); and LoNox Mobile Steam
Plant with the following ratings: 12,000 pph, 15-150 psi output,
self-contained for outdoor use. It is anticipated that a competitive,
indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract would result if
qualified sources are located and interested in the work. Period of
Performance would be up to sixty (60) months. Possible lease
destinations are San Diego CA, Hong Kong, and Sigonella, Sicily. The
following information must be provided in response to this synopsis: 1)
company specifics, including: point of contact, tele#, fax#, size of
business, and CAGE code; 2) unit price per unit/per month, FOB
Destination for Routine deliveries, and unit price per unit/per month,
FOB Destination for Emergency deliveries. (Note: Routine delivery is
defined as delivered, installed, tested, and operational within sixty
(60) calendar days after notification. Emergency delivery is defined as
delivered, installed, tested, and operational within six (6) calendar
days after notification.; 3) qualifications, capabilities, and at least
three (3) references substantiating past performance on similar
efforts; 4) summary of logistical support available, i.e., response
times, spares kits, etc.; 5) special instructions in the use and
maintenance of the equipment; 6) literature and product information; 7)
a plan identifying how local Government personnel will be trained to
operate and maintain the equipment; 8) pertinent comments and questions
relating to the project. All responses are due by 4:00pm, local time,
on 6 June 1997, Attn: Ms. Janet Harouch. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR
PROPOSAL. THE INFORMATION REQUESTED HEREIN IS FOR INFORMATIONAL AND
PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND THE NAVY DOES NOT INTEND TO PAY FOR THE
INFORMATION PROVIDED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. IF
THIS REQUIREMENT BECOMES FIRM, THE NAVY WILL RESYNOPSIZE AS A FORMAL
