Rust E&I is a Prime Contractor for the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE). Rust E&I is seeking subcontractors with experience in in-situ installation of iron filings using Jet Grout emplacement methods for a project involving pilot testing of Permeable Reactive Treatment (PeRT) walls at Cape Canaveral Air Station, Florida. The desired depth of emplacement is 60 feet in sandy soils. The desired thickness of iron (installed) is 4 inches. The wall will be installed in 3 segments, the first 50 feet long and the second two, 10 feet long each. Previous iron filing installation experience with Jet Grout emplacement is a requirement for pre-qualification. This is not a request for proposal and solicitation documents are not available. Interested firms are to submit summaries of previous experience with Jet Grout Emplacement of iron filings and names and phone numbers of references by COB May 30, 1997. The summaries shall include installation location, description of equipment, dimensions of wall installed and results of any QA/QC testing (such as measurement and control of wall thickness) for installation.
